Today, our team at Green Alternatives wants to take a deeper look at the corporations leading the way in clean energy adoption.This article from Solar Power World says, “There have been over 47,000 corporate installations nationwide, now making up 14% of all installed solar capacity in the U.S.” Companies are setting ambitious goals to lower their environmental impact by switching to 100% renewable energy and aiming for net zero emissions.

Meta: Achieve net zero emissions across its value chain by 2030. The company achieved 100% renewables in 2020.
Amazon: Achieve 100% power operations with renewables by 2025.
Apple: Achieve 100% carbon neutrality for supply chain and products by 2030. 100% clean energy was achieved in 2018.
Walmart: Power facilities with 100% renewable energy by 2035. Achieve net-zero emissions across global operations by 2040.
Microsoft: Achieve carbon negative by 2030. Achieve 100% renewable energy for operations by 2025.
Target: Achieve 100% renewable energy for operations by 2030. Reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2030.
These corporate leaders are well on their way to reaching their environmental goals, with Meta achieving 100% renewables in 2020 and others making huge strides. Microsoft, for example, has increased its solar capacity by 665% since 2019, according to this article.
